PrEP Service at Liffey Medical
Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) is now offered as a GP service at Liffey Medical.
PrEP is a safe and effective daily medication (pill) for people who do not have HIV and are at high risk of infection. When taken correctly PrEP has been found to be about 99% effective.
PrEP fees
Initial consultation - €130 (This includes STI screen, kidney function test and prescription fee).
Three-month review - €130 (This includes STI screen, kidney function test and prescription fee).
Note: There is NO charge for PrEP medication for eligible patients. PrEP medication is provided through the HSE and our doctor will register you for this service at your consultation.
*All cancellations incur a €15 admin fee. Late cancellations (ie less than 24 hours before your appointment - 5pm Friday for Monday appointments - incur a fee of 50% the consultation fee).
